There is no team that makes me more miserable than the Jets. Why the fuck did they give Mark Sanchez an extension? Really. This has to be the most illogical move of the whole offseason. This pisses me off on a whole new level that the Jets have been previously incapable of. Which brings me to the title of this post. I fucking hate that imbecile Mike Tannenbaum. He has no fucking idea what he is talking about AT ALL. First he gives us this bull shit announcement that Wayne Hunter will return as the starting right tackle of the Jets. Did he watch any games? The amount of sacks this asshole let up was astronomical. He fucking sucks. This guy should not even be a backup. And then the dynamic duo of fucking idiots, Tannenbaum and Woody Johnson, announce this bull shit extension to further push the Jets notoriety as the laughing stock of the NFL.
It goes without saying that Sanchez had has his moments in succeeding in the NFL, but for every moment he has succeeded he has made these dumb ass moves which further promote him as underserving of a major contract extension. You don't give big ass contract extensions to someone who, 1. has regressed majorly and 2. is unproven. For all we know Sanchez throws 50 interceptions next year. With that said, Sanchez might throw 50 touchdowns next year, too. While that is highly unlikely, and by that I mean less than 1 percent, it does not make this a good move at all. After his 50 touchdown season the Jets should give him an extension, not before. I really do hope Sanchez does succeed, he has the work ethic and desire to do so. But at this point he is not worth a contract extension.

Tannenbaum is severely lacking NFL football savvy, and based on his drafts since 2006, he is not at an NFL GM class level. Every move this idiot made, sucks. It's fair to say the won despite him rather than becauuse of him. Regarding Tebow, you know as well as I do what they really need . a receiver or two, pass rushers, a MLB . offensive linemen . oh, and a running back. Now Tannenbaum is not exactly Gutman II . not exactly . and we can make a case that he's a better judge of football talent than Leon Hess's daughter. But that's about it.
ReplyDeleteI will give the Jets this though, if we take winning football out of their objectives, and distill their motives to purely entertainment industry oriented, then it's an understandable move . it will give them some press until we're into the season . then it's the same old appalling Mets . I mean Jets.
